Manage roles and permissions

Give each teammate the access needed for their responsibilities.

A role controls which parts of Botat a person can use and which actions they can take. A team groups people for work and assignment. These settings have different purposes.

Create or review a role

  1. Open Workspace settings → Roles & permissions.
  2. Review an existing role or choose Create role.
  3. Give it a clear name, such as “Customer support”.
  4. Select the permissions needed for that job and save.

  1. 1Define a role and its permissions.
  2. 2Review existing roles before assigning them.

Viewing a feature and changing it can be separate permissions. For example, a teammate who can view campaigns may not be allowed to launch or delete them. Check the specific actions as well as the module name.

Assign the role

Open Agents and update the teammate’s role, or select it when inviting a new member. Review their inbox and team assignments too. Have the teammate refresh Botat and try the intended task.

Investigate a missing action

Check the current workspace, active membership, assigned role, and relevant inbox access. Ask the owner to compare those settings with a teammate who can perform the task.

Keep an owner with administrative access available when changing permissions. Do not remove your own ability to manage the workspace while testing a restricted role.
