Your WhatsApp inbox is where messages arrive and where your team replies. Connect it inside the workspace that should own the customer conversations.
Before you begin
Have access to the Meta business account and the phone number you want to connect. You also need permission to manage inboxes in Botat. If the number is already connected elsewhere, follow the options shown by Meta during connection; do not remove an existing connection without checking how your current service uses it.
Start from Inboxes
- Open the correct workspace.
- Select Inboxes in the sidebar.
- Choose New Inbox and select WhatsApp.
- Enter a name your team will recognize, such as Customer care.
- Continue through the Meta connection window. Select the intended business and number, and complete the verification steps it asks for.
- Return to Botat after Meta finishes the connection.
- 1Create a channel with New Inbox.
- 2Open the inbox you want to work in.
Check the connection
Find the new inbox card. Confirm the displayed phone number and connection status. Open the inbox and send a test message to the number from a phone you control, then reply from Botat.
If you cannot find the inbox, refresh the page and check that you are still in the same workspace.
Give your team access
Invite your support teammates and assign the access they need. Workspace membership and inbox access are separate settings; being invited does not automatically mean every person should see every conversation.
